About Me

Let me introduce myself.

My motivation for building full-stack websites and applications stems from two things that I love doing: building things and solving problems. And I am constantly working on improving these skills.

The things I am most passionate about.

Philosophy I like reading because it ultimately helps me understand more things and therefore be more open minded.
Technology Building useful things that other people can use gives me great satisfaction.
Science Philosophy pointed me to science since it's so concerned with seeking the truth.
Running Phisical exercises such as running help me clear my mind and keep healthy.

How I learned it

I picked up HTML & CSS from a bootcamp at a local web development company in Galati, Romania.

I went in with a little bit of prior knowledge (codecademy course) and it was an awesome learning experience.

The fact that I was able to complete the final project (building a website starting from just a Photoshop document) helped me build up confidence and I went on to learning JavaScript on my own.

How I learned it

I mainly picked up the basics of JavaScript from the Udemy courses of Jonas Schmedtmann and Andrei Neagoie.

I went on to building my own projects and experiment with the things I learned through courses and I discovered learning can be really fun.

How I learned it

I followed Jonas Schmedtmann's React course from Udemy and picked up the basics quite easily.

As I moved forward with the course, I started liking React more and more and started using it in my projects.

  • Read'n Rated

    An app that allows users to search book titles, add them in a read list, leave a comment and rate them.

How I learned it

I picked up the basics of PHP from Brad Traversy on YouTube and through the Udemy course of Jannis Seemann.

I started liking it more and more as I understood how powerful it can be.

The projects 'Edion Trans' and 'Senor Expert' are currently works in progress. I'm actively working on completing them. Check back soon for updates!

Vera project
Edion Trans

A website for a transportation company. Besides the presentation aspect, users can fill out forms and their input will be sent to the company's email address.

Multi-Step Form
Senor Expert

A website for an aacounting company. Users can log in and upload accounting documents. The admin user can see all uploads and download the documents.

Learning new technologies

This is an overview of the technologies that I'm currently learning.

Node.js

I am currently working on completing a Node.js course by Jonas Schmedtmann and at the time of writing this I am learning about Mongoose.

PHP

After I finish the Node.js course, I plan on moving on to Jannis Seeman's PHP course on Udemy.
